Real Madrid has officially congratulated Barcelona on winning the Spanish league title.
The Catalan side defeated Real Madrid 2-0 at home in Matchday 35 of La Liga, securing the championship with games to spare. In a statement on social media, Real Madrid wrote: “Congratulations to Barcelona for winning the 2025/26 La Liga season.”
Barcelona now has 91 points from 35 matches, while second-placed Real Madrid trails by 14 points. This marks Barcelona’s 29th La Liga title, compared to Real Madrid’s 36 championship victories.
